NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON APPLICATION TO INCORPORATE
THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION OF THE CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF
ANN ARBOR
This is notice that the Board of Trustees of the
Charter Township of Ann Arbor, County of Washtenaw, the governing
body, pursuant to and in accordance with The Economic Development
Corporations Act of 1974, Act 338, P.A. 1974, as amended ("Act"),
shall hold a public hearing to fulfill the requirements of Section
4(1) of the Act.
Sandra Sorini Elser, Bowden V. Brown and Michael
C. Moran have presented to the Board of Trustees an application
for permission to incorporate The Economic Development Corporation
of the Charter Township of Ann Arbor. This application is on file
with the Ann Arbor Township Clerk for public examination. The
Act requires the Board to give public notice of the application
and to hold a public hearing.
The public hearing shall be held on July 21, 2008,
at 7:30 p.m., in the Ann Arbor Township Hall, 3792 Pontiac Trail,
Ann Arbor Township, Michigan 48105, Washtenaw County, Michigan.
This notice is given pursuant to Section 17(1) Act 338, Public
Acts of 1974, as amended.
Proposed Zoning Ordinance Amendment Notice:
On Monday, July 21, 2008 at 7:30 pm at Township
Hall, 3792 Pontiac Trail, Ann Arbor, the Board will consider amendments
to the following Zoning Ordinance: Article XIV Agricultural Preservation
Residential District - Purpose is to establish an optional means
for development of lands located in the agricultural production
or open space preservation areas of the Township. Intent is to
preserve agricultural lands by providing clustered residential
development that offers an alternative to traditional subdivisions
through the use of Planned Unit Development. Full

Temporary Structures Zoning Ordinance Amendment
Notice:
On June 16, 2008, the Ann Arbor Charter Township
Board of Trustees approved amendments to the Ann Arbor Township
Zoning Code section: ARTICLE I, IN GENERAL, Section 74-4 Temporary
Structures. The regulatory effect of these amendments is to provide
additional detail on the procedures and requirements for temporary
dwellings and temporary construction structures, and to allow
permitting of temporary sales buildings. The amendments apply
to the entire Township and are effective July 1, 2008.

"Traditions" Planned Unit Development
Zoning Amendment Notice:
On May 19, 2008 the Ann Arbor Charter Township Board
of Trustees approved a zoning ordinance amendment to change the
zoning designation of parcels formerly known as I -09-25-400,
006, I -09-36-100-001, 002, 003, 004, 008 and now known as Parcel
ID No. I-09-36-100-016, located at the southeast corner of Geddes
and Dixboro Roads, consisting of approximately 31 acres, from
R-2 to Planned Unit Development (PUD). The PUD area plan was approved
for a proposed continuing care retirement community for seniors,
consisting of single family villas, assisted living building,
independent living units, health care units and memory care units,
for a total of no more than 280 living units, for density of no
more than 9 dwelling units per acre. The rezoning petition, approved
area plan and other project documents are available for review
or purchase at Ann Arbor Township Office, 3792 Pontiac Trail,
Ann Arbor, MI 41805 during business hours, 8 am - 4:30 pm, Mon-Fri.
Effective: June 3, 2008.
